Employment Law Insurance scheme for employers

We are able to offer employers an insurance-backed scheme, underwritten by a major legal expenses insurer.  As part of the insurance scheme we carry out a “health check” of your procedures to ensure that these and your employment documentation is in order and we also provide employment law advice on the telephone or in writing, whichever you require.

Our intention is to understand your business and how it is affected by employment law requirements and changes in these and to provide you with up-to-date information and advice.

Provided you have acted in accordance with the advice you have been given, the scheme will then cover you for Employment Tribunal claims against your business in relation to compensation and legal fees up to £250,000 for each claim, with a maximum of £1,000,000 per year.

The purpose of the scheme is to give employers a fixed-cost solution to the worries associated with the increasing amount of employment law litigation facing all organisations which employ staff.  Changes occur frequently, many of these being EEC requirements, and it is difficult for businesses to keep abreast of these changes.

For a fixed fee we will:-

  1. Review your documentation and employment law procedures.
  2. Review your standard Employment Contract and your Company Handbook once a year.
  3. Provide a twenty-four hour helpline for advice on employment issues within your business.
